Project Details

Trihydro engaged ICS to install a groundwater barrier system at the marine terminal area within the Phillips 66 San Francisco Refinery in Rodeo, California. The system extracts groundwater from forty three (43) onsite extraction wells. The scope of work included grading, asphalt paving, the installation of dual contained conveyance piping and air line piping, installation of pipe supports and concrete pads

Field Tasks

  • Grading and installation of new asphalt with containment curb
  • Set well vault and install concrete skirts
  • Air knifing holes for 218 pipe supports and 75 bollards
  • Installed 218 free standing pipe supports and 75 bollards
  • Installed 38 concrete pads for extraction pump boxes
  • Installed over 2,200 linear feet of dual contained (3-inch inside 6-inch) CPVC pipe including expansion loops and valves

Field Tasks

  • Installed over 700 linear feet of Schedule 80 carbon steel pipe
  • Make tie-ins to sumps
  • Hydro- static test all water carrier pipe and pressure test all air line piping
  • Removed two (2) existing sump pumps and install two (2) new Gould Pumps
